The first Mokwheel I spent real time on was the Asphalt, a full-size commuter with a torque sensor, a thumb throttle, and a rack and fenders already bolted on. Later I rode the Mesa Lite, and my big complaint there was that its 350W motor was small for a bike that size. The Mokwheel Flint takes that same 350W idea and puts it in a much lighter frame: Mokwheel lists it at 36 lb. I haven’t ridden it. Everything below comes from Mokwheel’s official Flint page, checked on Oct 28, 2026 and linked at the bottom.
A lighter kind of Mokwheel
Most of the Mokwheels I’ve reviewed were big bikes, with fat tires or full suspension. The Flint goes the other way. It rolls on CST 700 x 45C tires with an aluminum fork and no suspension, and Mokwheel describes it as a bike for short to medium trips that’s easy to handle and easy to store. There’s one size, and Mokwheel says it fits riders from 5’5” to 6’7”.
That light weight changes what the motor has to do. The Mesa Lite I rode weighed 51 lb by Mokwheel’s numbers. The Flint uses a motor with a similar rating in a bike about 15 lb lighter, so on paper it has less mass to push.
Motor, sensor and class
The rear motor is rated at 350W continuous with a 550W peak and 40 Nm of torque. Pedal assist uses a torque and cadence sensor, which reads how hard you push, not just whether the pedals are turning. The Flint is a Class 1 bike with pedal assist up to 20 mph, and Mokwheel’s spec list doesn’t include a throttle. Check your local rules in our e-bike laws hub.
Shifting is a Shimano 8-speed with a 46T chainring and 170mm cranks, and the chain is a KMC stainless chain. Mokwheel’s own FAQ explains why that matters: the chain-drive Flint and Flint ST give you a wider range of gears for hills, while the belt-drive Flint Pro models are single speed.
Battery and range
The battery is a 36V 10Ah pack that Mokwheel says meets UL standards and is rated IPX7, with an IPX6 rating for the whole bike. Range is listed as 50 to 70 miles in the spec table, and “up to 70 miles” elsewhere on the page. The charger is a 36V 3A unit.
Brakes and extras
Stopping is handled by Logan HD-M500 hydraulic brakes, which Mokwheel describes as dual-piston. The headlight is built into the frame. Mokwheel’s page offers a full fender and rear rack set as a free accessory with the Flint, and the rear rack is detachable. Payload is listed at 350 lb.
Flint or Flint ST?
The Flint ST is the step-through version. On Oct 28, 2026 it was $1,399.99 on Mokwheel’s site. Mokwheel’s FAQ lists the ST’s maximum load at 300 lb, compared with 350 lb for the step-over Flint. If you prefer an easy mount and you’re under that limit, the ST is the one to look at.
How it fits with the Mokwheels I’ve reviewed
The Asphalt is the closest bike I’ve ridden from Mokwheel. It fit me well at about 6’1” and 200 lb, and it came with a front suspension fork, a thumb throttle, and a rack and fenders. By Mokwheel’s numbers, the Flint gives up the throttle, the suspension and some motor power to come in at 36 lb, against 64 lb for the Asphalt. The Asphalt was $1,499.99 on Oct 28, 2026, so the two are close in price, and the choice is really about weight versus features. If you want more options, my best commuter e-bike guide has them.

Pros and cons (from the specs and sources)
Pros: 36 lb, far lighter than the Mokwheels I’ve reviewed; torque and cadence sensor; hydraulic brakes; Shimano 8-speed; 350 lb payload; built-in headlight; fenders and rack offered free on Oct 28, 2026; step-through Flint ST available.
Cons: no throttle listed; no suspension; 40 Nm of torque, against 70 Nm on the Asphalt; one frame size; range is listed two ways on the same page; the ST’s load limit is lower at 300 lb.
Who it’s for
On paper, the Flint fits riders who carry their bike up stairs or onto a rack and want something light, with a torque sensor and gears, for paved commutes and errands. If you want a throttle, a suspension fork or more power for steep hills, Mokwheel’s Asphalt or Tarmac are the bigger options.
Price
As of Oct 28, 2026, the Mokwheel Flint was $1,299.99, down from a listed $1,599.99, in Grey, Steel Blue and Phantom Black. The page showed it in stock, shipping within 2 business days. The step-through Flint ST was $1,399.99.
