Scroll sideways on a phone. Rated range is the maker's claim. A dash means I couldn't verify that number. Video = when my review went up on YouTube.
Every bike on this page is one I rode and filmed myself (13 bikes, videos from 2020 to 2025). Bikes I haven't ridden are left out. The top pick for each use is the bike with the highest AEB Score in that group that you can still buy. The score comes from the specs (range, motor, brakes and build, practicality) plus the current maker price, so it's the same yardstick for every bike. Specs come from the maker's listing, checked against what I saw on the ride. Prices are from my review data; tap through for the current price. More detail on how I test.
Straight from the downsides I hit in each review. If one of these is a dealbreaker for you, look at the next bike.
Aventon Aventure 3: skip it if this bothers you: Turn signals feel a bit gimmicky, and I couldn't find a hazard mode Also: I'd like larger palm-rest grips (an easy swap)
Mokwheel Asphalt: skip it if this bothers you: No rear suspension
Ride1Up Turris: skip it if this bothers you: Tires and crank arms felt a bit cheap Also: No rear tail light on my test bike; Ride1Up now lists one
Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser: skip it if this bothers you: Basic black and white display Also: No rear suspension
Bee Cool Adventurer: skip it if this bothers you: I bottomed out the front fork on rooty trails Also: 78 lbs; harder to handle on single track
Aventon Aventure M: skip it if this bothers you: No throttle Also: Rear rack only holds about 59 lb
Aventon Ramblas: skip it if this bothers you: Hardtail only, no rear suspension Also: Headlight is optional (I didn't install it)
Ailife X20B: skip it if this bothers you: Cramped pedaling for tall riders Also: Messy welds and cables
Fahrbike Roadster 73: skip it if this bothers you: Uncomfortable to pedal for tall riders; the seat height isn't adjustable enough Also: Chain rubs the rear tire in the two highest gears on my bike
MACFOX X7: skip it if this bothers you: Less power on inclines than I wanted at about 200 lb Also: Headlight has its own power switch, separate from the display
Segway Xyber Air: skip it if this bothers you: The fixed seat makes pedaling uncomfortable Also: Single speed, so the motor does the work
ONEBOT S7: skip it if this bothers you: 250W motor struggles on inclines with an adult rider Also: At 6'1", the seat is maxed out and the pedal stroke feels a bit short
Eahora XC100: skip it if this bothers you: Fork and brake lever arrived damaged Also: 350W motor stalls on hills on throttle alone
I’m about 6’1” and 200 lb, and I say so in almost every review, because fit is the first thing a tall rider notices. Every bike on this page is one I rode and filmed myself. The fit notes are what I said on camera at my height, with the time in each video so you can see me on the bike. If you’re taller than me, treat a bike I called “a little small” as a likely no.
| Bike | What I said about the fit at 6’1” | Time | Where it stood |
|---|---|---|---|
| Aventon Aventure 3 | “It just really fits me really well” | 2:08 | $1,999 at review time |
| Mokwheel Asphalt | “This fits me perfectly” | 1:18 | $1,499.99 (Mokwheel, Oct 26, 2026) |
| Ride1Up Turris | “I found the size to be perfect for me” | 3:01 | $1,395 (ride1up.com, Oct 23, 2026) |
| Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser | “Really, really comfortable to ride” | 5:05 | $1,395 (ride1up.com, Oct 23, 2026) |
| Bee Cool Adventurer | “This larger frame fit me perfectly” | 5:51 | $1,099 (beecoolbikes.com, Oct 22, 2026) |
| Aventon Aventure M | I rode the large; use me to gauge your size | 8:27 | $2,899 (Aventon list price) |
Bee Cool lists the Adventurer for riders 5’5” to 6’5” (Bee Cool). Always check the maker’s size chart for the bike you want.
Aventon Aventure 3. I put about 56 miles on it and said I’ve gotten a lot of time on it “because it just really fits me really well. I’m about 6’1, 200 lb” (Aventure 3 video, 2:05 to 2:13). It’s a fat-tire bike with a throttle, and it’s the one I’d pick for gravel.
Mokwheel Asphalt. I called it a full-size e-bike and said, “this fits me perfectly, super easy to hop on and ride” (Asphalt video, 1:15 to 1:23). It’s a commuter with a torque sensor, hydraulic brakes, a thumb throttle, a rack and fenders. It has a front fork and no rear suspension, so it’s for pavement more than rough trails.
Ride1Up Turris. “As someone who is 6-1 and weighs about 200 pounds, I found the size to be perfect for me” (Turris video, 3:01 to 3:06). It’s also my value pick in the best e-bikes of 2026.
Ride1Up Cafe Cruiser. Going up a hill at about 200 lb, I said it’s super comfortable for me at 6’1”, and the 3 in wide tires make it a bit more cushiony since there’s no rear suspension (Cafe Cruiser video, 5:02 to 5:13).
Bee Cool Adventurer. On rough trails, I said the riding position was very comfortable and “this larger frame fit me perfectly” (Adventurer video, 5:51 to 5:59).
Mountain bikes in a large frame. I rode the large Aventon Aventure M and said you can use me at 6’1” and 200 lb to gauge what size you need (Aventure M video, 8:27 to 8:33). The Aventon Ramblas I rode was also the large frame (Ramblas video, 4:22).
These are mostly moped-style bikes with a fixed seat. They were comfortable to sit on, but pedaling at my height was not:
Of the bikes I’ve ridden at about 6’1” and 200 lb, the Aventon Aventure 3, Mokwheel Asphalt and Ride1Up Turris fit me best. I said the Asphalt fits me perfectly and the Turris was the perfect size for me.
To sit on, yes. To pedal, often not. On the Ailife X20B, the Fahrbike Roadster 73 and the MACFOX X7, the pedals were too close to the fixed seat for me to pedal comfortably.
I’m about 6’1” and about 200 lb. I mention it in my reviews so you can compare.
