Should you buy one?
Buy the Rhino if you want a big, rugged fat-tire bike for commuting and light trails, and you’re taller. I tested it for several weeks (0:05 to 0:07). I’m about 6’1” and was super comfortable on it (4:18 to 4:22). It has a 750W motor that peaks at 1,200W and a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery (1:12 to 1:30). At the sale price I saw, I said I’d definitely buy it (3:37 to 3:41).
Skip it if you need to lift your bike into a car or up stairs. It weighs 82 lb (4:07 to 4:10). Also skip it if you want to raise the handlebars without buying extra parts (4:35 to 4:49).
The deciding factor: how much bike you get for the money. You get a big battery, a rack, lights and front suspension at a low price.

Who it’s for
- Taller riders. At 6’1”, I was super comfortable (4:18 to 4:22). Romatlink lists a minimum seat height of 33.5 in.
- Commuters who also ride trails. It’s for getting to work or riding trails in the wilderness (3:45 to 3:52). On light gravel it performed really well (3:14 to 3:23).
- Bikepackers. With up to 80 miles of rated range, you can load it up for long trips (2:29 to 2:38).
- Riders on a budget who want a big battery and a rack. I said I’d buy it at the $1,299 sale price (3:37 to 3:41).
Who should look elsewhere
- Anyone who needs to lift it. At 82 lb, it’s not the bike to put in the back of a car (3:52 to 4:10).
- Shorter riders. It’s a full-size bike (4:18), and the seat doesn’t go below 33.5 in (Romatlink).
- Riders who want to sit more upright. I couldn’t raise the handlebars without buying extra parts (4:35 to 4:49).
Motor, speed and hills
The 750W hub peaks at 1,200W, so it handles everything from city streets to rough terrain (1:14 to 1:24). It’s rated for 28 mph, which makes it Class 3 (2:02 to 2:07). Romatlink ships it at 25 mph and lets you unlock 28. Romatlink also claims it can climb a 20° grade on throttle alone and 30° with pedal assist (2:07 to 2:17). The half-twist throttle gives instant power when you need it (1:45 to 1:49). The pedal assist uses a cadence sensor (Romatlink).
Range and battery
It has a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery (1:24 to 1:30). Romatlink lists it as 960Wh and removable. It’s rated for up to 60 miles on throttle and 80 on pedal assist (2:18 to 2:29). Those are best-case numbers. I think the high-quality Samsung cells are a big part of why the claims are so high (2:38 to 2:49). With the included 48V 3A charger, a full charge from empty takes about 6 to 7 hours (1:30 to 1:35).
Comfort and handling
The front suspension and fat tires give you plenty of cushion on and off road (3:12 to 3:17). My one real complaint is the handlebars. They sat lower than I wanted for my height, and they don’t adjust upward. To fix it, you’d have to buy a riser or a new stem (4:35 to 4:49).
Safety, lights and weather
It has an integrated tail light and headlight, with simple controls on the handlebars (2:53 to 3:08). The left side has a headlight button and a horn (1:49 to 1:53). In the video I called it IPX65 (3:09), but Romatlink’s spec table lists IPX6. Romatlink’s spec table lists hydraulic disc brakes and a brake light built into the levers.
Setup and rack
Out of the box, you have to put on the front wheel, like most bikes I test (0:28 to 0:35). It comes with fenders. I left the front fender off because I use the Steadyrack wall-mount system (0:35 to 0:44). I like the style of the integrated rear rack (0:50 to 0:54). Romatlink rates it for 132 lb.
Price
When I made the video, the Rhino was $1,299 on Romatlink’s site, about $500 off its $1,800 regular price. At that price, I said I’d definitely buy it (3:24 to 3:41). As of Oct 23, 2026, romatlink.com lists it at $999, down from $1,799. The site banner says “Rhino now $700 OFF,” but the store’s product data showed the Space Gray bike unavailable. Check stock before you plan around it. Romatlink also sells a spare Rhino battery ($459, down from $599, also unavailable on Oct 23, 2026).

The three bikes are close on paper. The Rhino has the lowest listed price but showed as unavailable, the Adventurer is the next cheapest, and the Obsidian costs more and lists the most torque.
